The collection of imagery, both photographic and video, is an essential part of modern environmental consultancy. Imagery provides a record of habitat status, environmental incidents and presence of species. MERC Consultants has a highly skilled team of both terrestrial and aquatic photographers and videographers, including the use of underwater ROV. Photographic imagery in macro, wide angle, zoom and flash are catered for, in both standard 35mm film and digital formats.

Video has primarily been focused on commercial applications in the marine environment. The terrestrial camera installation and video/audio footage of one of MERC's core team has appeared in both national and international wildlife documentaries and an award winning radio documentary. The skills and resources of the team allow for imagery output in a variety of formats for habitat mapping/monitoring, inspections, broadcast, Environmental Impact Assessment, GIS applications, and other outputs including live streaming of underwater/terrestrial video footage.
